YWCA Metro St. Louis

YW-Teens

Helping girls grow into empowered women is a primary goal of YWCA Metro St. Louis.

YWCA Metro St. Louis is dedicated to empowering women and eliminating racism. Part of the agency’s two-pronged mission of women’s empowerment is achieved through gender-responsive programs that touch the lives of teen girls on their journey to adulthood.

Studies have shown that there is a significant gap in services available for youth development in the St. Louis area. YW-Teens programs are designed to encourage and help girls reach their full potential. Providing girls with innovative and engaging programming that cultivates leadership, life and entrepreneurial skills promotes overall healthy personal development. Empowered with opportunities to learn, lead and grow, girls further develop their sense of self, find voice and build healthy relationships. Programs are structured around three main components – the Young Women’s Leadership Academy, Young Women’s Leadership Conferences and Emerging Entrepreneurs.

YW-Teens positively impacts the lives of hundreds of young women from throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area annually.
